Right between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox lies Imbolc ~ the earliest dawn of spring. The days are slowly getting longer again and, as the snow melts away, Mother Earth appears in a fresh guise. In alignment with her, focus on emerging from Winter’s darkness. Plant the seeds of your growth for the year. Cleanse yourself and your space. Leave behind limiting energies. Gather your power to rise again. In connection with the Celtic goddess Brigid, we celebrate this Sabbat by lighting fires and candles. Spicy ginger, aromatic cinnamon, fragrant rosemary and delicate jasmine blossoms (among others) combined in this Imbolc incense blend will support you in sparking that fire within you too.
My incense blends are manufactured following my own recipes, created through research of magical ingredients. Each batch of loose incense is charged with according intentions and crystal energies.

How to use
Loose incense can be used in varies ways, including:
- Burning it with charcoal: Light a quick light charcoal disc in a fire-proof cauldron or bowl on a heat resistant surface. I recommend adding a bit of sand inside the bowl. Once the charcoal is burnt through (when it turned from black to gray), sprinkle a pinch of loose incense onto the center of the disc. After the incense is burnt, you can use tongs or a spoon to scratch of the burnt incense and sprinkle some more on the charcoal. Do not touch the disc without tongs. Make sure the disc is extinguished entirely before putting it away. Never leave unattended and use with caution in a well ventilated area.
- Burning it in an incense burner: These burners consist of a candle and some kind of mesh/net. The candle will heat the incense more slowly and won’t usually burn it. It’s similar to a tea warmer or candle oil diffuser. Light the candle and sprinkle a little bit of loose incense on the sieve. Replace the incense when it does not give off fragrance anymore.
- Using is as an air refresher: Put it in a small dish or bag and keep it somewhere close.
More way to use loose incense include anointing magical tools, leave offerings, spell work, etc.
